This historic hotel by the Danube amazed us with its stunning artwork-filled building. The attentive owner made our stay special, and the restaurant's exceptional menu left us jaw-dropped. Csaba, one of the fantastic support staff, even gave us a lift for our biking program. The caring and delightful staff made this a total remarkable experience.

I had the most enchanting stay at this historic property with a breathtaking view. The breakfast spread was delicious and the coffee machine issue was promptly resolved. My room had a veranda overlooking the beautiful castle garden. Clean and functional, it made for a comfortable stay. The location in Duernstein is superb, right in the center of the old town in the wine region. The restaurant in the hotel was a delightful experience with great service and a menu featuring delicious local fish. I highly recommend this charming hotel for a memorable stay in Duernstein.

The room vere large and clean, whith a wonderfull countryside view. The resteurant provides good value for money and in my opinion excellent quality. The staff speaks english fairly well. The breakfast buffet is somewhat limited, but with good intgredients.
No wireless network in the room, so a non-roaming iPhone user will have to move down to the receiption and get a password every morning to read the news.

Beautiful old monestary with plentiful antiques. Nice large court yard.
One young lady staff member seemed somewhat arrogant. We did not enjoy dealing with her.

Our recent city break at a charming hotel along the Danube was fabulous! The garden was lovely, and we enjoyed the view of the river. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. We also loved the fact that bicycles were available to rent, making it easy to explore the nearby vineyards and orchards.
Lunch was not provided by the pool as promised, and the lunch menu in the restaurant was limited. there was no air conditioning in the room, but the provided fan helped keep us cool.

Location is great, the decorations are very nice adding to the atmosphere. Associated restaurant is very good. Room was spacey with a nice view on Danube. Breakf. buffet was excellent, bathroom was good.
Think price/room comfort ratio is a bit out of proportion. For a 200Euro night room, that does not hold a mini bar and no coffee facilities. Also think price was steep considering the hotel was practically empty as well. This means you pay for the location, which is ok, just not when it is empty.

Located amidst the bustling street with crowded tourists, the hotel is close to the serene Danube river and provides an unparalleled view of boats sailing downstream. The beautiful outdoor pool and lush gardens are an added advantage. The rooms are modern and clean, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
The lack of air conditioning in the rooms makes the stay uncomfortable during hot and humid weather.

I recently had an incredible stay at this luxurious hotel. The location couldn't be better - situated atop a hill overlooking the Danube, the views were simply breathtaking. Being in the center of the old town in a winery region added to the charm. The hotel itself was a sight to behold, with its impressive decor and a beautiful terrace that showcased the medieval garden and stunning views of the river. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities to make my stay enjoyable. The staff were exceptional, providing top-notch service and making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The dining experience was outstanding, with a delectable variety of local specialties for breakfast and dinner. I especially loved the welcome drink and the attention to detail in every aspect of my stay. The leisure facilities, including the swimming pool and garden area, were pristine and provided a serene and relaxing atmosphere.
Highly recommended to all.

The setting, absolutely beautiful old village. Breakfast was good and our room clean and spacious.
Some staff were a bit rude but I don't think they're used to English speakers. I switched to my (rubbish) German and got a more positive response.

As a senior woman, I was delighted with the charming and accessible features of this hotel. The decoration throughout the hotel exuded a sense of history and elegance, with antique furniture and sculptures adorning the halls. The beautiful garden, complete with a swimming pool tucked within the medieval walls, provided a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Moreover, I was impressed by the friendliness and genuine hospitality of the staff, who went out of their way to ensure my comfort and enjoyment.
For a better vacation experience for senior people, I would have appreciated more options for activities tailored to our age group. While the hotel itself provided a peaceful retreat, the village of Duernstein could get quite crowded during the day, especially with large tour groups.
